On many of these sites, you will have to look for the "ADD URL" button which may be half buried somewhere. If there is a page of tips, read it first. The search engines are getting very good at defeating all the standard tricks used to get better but undeserved higher spots in search results. That is good, since it will help everyone get useful, quality results from searches, instead of thousands or millions of useless lists. You are strongly cautioned NOT to use any tricks or methods designed to mislead search engines into placing you higher then your site deserves. You could easily end up banned for life by the search engine.

For example: Don't try to trick the search engines by pointless repetition of one or two words, or by strategies like hidden text, text the same color as the background, and so forth.
