Brackle's notes on Texas Hold 'em

Reading/Determining an opponents hand:

I'm putting here what I consider the most important requirement in playing any poker game! The ability to read/determine what's in your opponents hand!

Texas Hold 'em is played with 5 (five) common cards:

Remember that the game has five (common) cards that each player can use to make the best hand, and sometimes the best hand is the five common cards!

Texas Hold 'em doesn't use a full deck:

You say what? Ok a deck of 52 (fifty two - or more if wild cards are used) cards is shuffled, and dealt from each time, but only about half the cards are normally used at any one time! Most tables seat a maximum of 10 players, and each player gets 2 (two) cards. This gives us 20 cards that are used by the players, and then the 5 (five) common cards gives us 25 cards used out of 52!
